Maple Ridge Weekly Update | Oct 20
School Update
To the students and families of MRS,
We want to begin our weekly update with a big thank you to our School Council and Parent Association for their continued support. Our meeting last night demonstrated a continued commitment to improve student learning through residencies, and other wish list item requests, that were approved for spending.
We also want to share an update for our facility as some of you may have noticed that a disposal bin has been placed back on our tarmac. This also might have you wondering what is happening as we know last year resulted in bins on our tarmac for an entire year. This project should not be the case! We are having the bars removed on our windows and this should be completed over the weekend. It is our understanding that the bin will be removed from our site sometime next week.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

iLab Donations
We are asking our families to continue with helping restock our iLab materials! iLab projects promote critical thinking skills and encourage students to use design thinking to solve real-world problems.
If you are willing to donate any of the following items, please drop them off at the front door (in the wagon) or send them with your child. We will be accepting donations until further notice.
If you have any questions or think you have something not listed that might be useful to our iLab, please email Mrs. Hildebrand at dthildebrand@cbe.ab.ca.

Halloween With Halloween falling on a Tuesday this year, we will be having a Costume Day on Halloween this year. As students will still be engaged in regular classroom activities, we encourage costumes that allow students to safely participate in the learning. We also ask our students to please refrain from any costumes with costume masks or props (ie) knives, bats, guns etc. Additionally, please leave gory, or violent costumes, at home, as this will allow all students to feel safe in our school environment.
