School Update
To the students and families of MRS,
What a wonderful week of connection and community at Maple Ridge! Thank you to all of the families who joined us for Meet the Teacher, Kindergarten Conferences, and our Food Truck Social. It was wonderful to see our school and playground filled with families connecting with teachers, visiting classrooms, and spending time together.
A special thank you to our teachers for sharing a window into the learning happening in their classrooms, and to our Parent Association for helping make the evening such a welcoming community event. We are grateful for the time, energy, and care that continue to make Maple Ridge such a special place to learn and grow together.

Sept 30 Community Events in Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary)
All CBE staff, students, families, friends, and neighbors are invited to continue learning and show support at the 5th annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day event taking place at the Confluence Historic Site on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9-10:30 a.m. This important community gathering is a collaboration between the City of Calgary, CBE, Calgary Catholic School District, Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, and The Confluence. A CBE group photo will be taken at the CBE Smudge Tipi at the end of the event. Meet us there! 🧡

School Council & Parent Association Update
Dear Families of MRS,
It was wonderful to see and talk to so many families out in the schoolyard at Meet the Teacher Night! Shout-out to a wonderful parent volunteer, Avery, for organizing the food trucks.
The school year has barely started, and we have noticed an increase in incredibly enthusiastic family participation with the PTA. I (Nandita), have personally enjoyed every email, every question at the meetings on September 17th, and conversations at school and out in the wild when we run into each other. Keep it up MRS families!
Healthy Hunger
We would like to thank parents for their patience with Healthy Hunger. We are aware of the inconsistencies with the system and would like to remind parents that if there is an issue, please contact Healthy Hunger directly. We recommend that parents check their accounts regularly for updated order information, and if issues persist after contacting Healthy Hunger, please let us know through email.
Apparel
We have been working with a company to have MRS apparel available for ordering and will have more information next week. We appreciate your support and patience and hope to have cozy hoodies ready to order before the inevitable weather change.
If you would like to volunteer, we have opportunities that don’t require a huge time commitment… Just sayin’
