School Update

To the students and families of MRS,

On Thursday, our school gathered to remember the brave souls that have fallen and those who still risk their lives today to protect Canada and its people. We are so proud of how our students engaged in this meaningful work as it challenges us to reflect on the importance of peace and the responsibility each of us has in contributing to a kinder, more compassionate world. We would like to take this opportunity to genuinely thank Ms. Hebenton and our students for the time and effort they put into this assembly.

For those that are looking to participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in Calgary, we have provided a link here

Wishing everyone a wonderful Fall Break.

Please see the attached flyer for more information.  Child and Youth Well Being Family and Caregiver Fall 2024-2025

Fire Drill

This week our school completed our third fire drill of the year. Our students and staff treat each drill as though it is the real thing, and we are very proud of their performance during those drills. Teachers keep class lists with them during all drills and attendance is taken.

For any of you that are interested, Fire Safety and Prevention explores fire safety equipment and home fire safety.  With most fires occurring at home, it is important to take precautions to protect yourself and your family.

Clothing Message –Labeling Items

We continue to collect many articles of clothing in our Lost and Found, and while we may not all appreciate the inevitable, colder weather is on its way. Please encourage your child(ren) to visit the Lost and Found for missing articles of clothing and to remind them to bring them back inside on days when it warms up and they are left outside. We continue to encourage all families to label clothing when possible as we do our best to return these items to the classroom. In some situations, this can become a daily task, and we are unable to keep up with the demand. That said, we remain committed to ensuring items are returned as we know that it is frustrating for families when they go missing.
