School Update

To the students and families of MRS,

Happy New Year, and welcome back! We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break, filled with time for relaxation and connection.  With students back in our building, and our calendars flipped to show 2025, we are excited to continue supporting our students in their growth, learning, and development.

We are also excited as our lacrosse residency program begins next week and all students attending Maple Ridge School will get to participate. This program offers our students the opportunity to learn and develop lacrosse skills with the guidance of an experienced coach from the Alberta Lacrosse Association. It will be a fantastic way for students to explore a new sport, work as a team, and improve their athletic abilities. Thank you again to our MRS Parent Association for providing this opportunity.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Fish Tank Expert Still Needed

Grade One is looking for a Volunteer who is familiar with large fish tanks. We will be bringing eggs into the school in a few weeks, and we need some advice with tank set up and operation. If you have fishy skills and are available to help, please email dthildebrand@cbe.ab.ca. Thank you in advance!

RTA Alderman – Current Grade 4 Students – Jan 30

The 2024-2025 RTA Open House is scheduled for Thursday, January 30th at 6:00pm. As Maple Ridge's parents are familiar with the Science Program, participation at this Open House is not mandatory. In addition to the presentation, families are welcome to tour the building, speak to teachers and students, and to check out the Science Fair Projects between 6:00pm and 7:45pm. Maple Ridge students are automatically designated to RTA, and we ask that you email us at mapleridge@cbe.ab.ca if you are not attending RTA.
