School Update

In partnership with Calgary Police Services (CPS), Maple Ridge School had our first of two internal lockdown drills on Thursday this week. The purpose of this practice was to help students understand what to do in the event of a real emergency. During the drill, the Emergency Procedure Manual for Maple Ridge was followed, and our goal was to ensure that the experience was focused on learning and remains a positive one. From this practice, we are pleased to share that CPS has informed us that we are doing an excellent job of following the expected procedures and that they are confident our staff and students know what to do in the case of a real emergency.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
