School Update
To the students and families of MRS,
As a Science Alternative Program, our field experiences are a very important part of student learning. These opportunities are only possible with the support of our parent volunteers, as they help us meet the required supervision ratios for offsite activities. We are incredibly grateful for the time and support our families provide. When we are unable to meet these ratios, we may need to postpone or cancel a field experience. With the number of field studies planned throughout the year, we kindly ask all families to consider participating when possible.
If you have not yet had the opportunity, we encourage you to begin the Police Clearance Process, as it is required prior to volunteering. This can be accessed through your MyCBE account. If you have any questions or need support with the process, please feel free to reach out to us at mapleridge@cbe.ab.ca as we are happy to help.
We would also like to gently remind students to avoid entering the staff parking lot and climbing trees on school grounds. These expectations are in place to help keep everyone safe. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these safety guidelines with your child.
Thank you again for your ongoing partnership and care in supporting our school community.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Bus Monitor Recognition
With a total of 12 buses transporting many of our students to Maple Ridge, we would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our Bus Monitor students. With support from staff, these students play an important role in ensuring attendance is taken on each bus for all Kindergarten to Grade 4 students. While this process is only required for Kindergarten students, as a school community we believe it is important to ensure that all bus students are safely accounted for at the end of each day.
Additionally, our Bus Monitors came together today to write cards of appreciation for our bus drivers on behalf of Maple Ridge School. Each card also includes a small token of thanks from our Parent Association. We know these gestures will be meaningful and appreciated when they are delivered to our drivers next week.
