School Update

To the students and families of MRS,

As shared at our School Council & Parent Association meeting last night, staff at Maple Ridge School have been busy reflecting on last year and have captured this work in the School Improvement Results Report (SIRR). As a brief summary, we have identified three Areas of Growth:

·       Writing to express ideas

·       Student interest and engagement in writing

·       Building student confidence in taking academic risks.

For further information, we encourage our families to review our School Improvement Results Report (2023-2024).

Using the SIRR, our school engaged in School Development Planning for the 2024-2025 year. This document aligns with CBE’s Education Plan’s priority areas and creates a foundation for our professional learning and staff development. As a school, we have set a goal that student achievement in writing will improve.

For further information, we encourage families to review our School Development Plan (2024-2025).

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

2.      Click on this link to register to order as part of our fundraiser. Once you register and are brought to the Maple Ridge School fundraising page, you will need to click on the top-right menu button, then "shop online" to place your order.

3.      Items will be available for pickup at the Winter Solstice event at the school Dec 19 (if you can’t pick up then, we can make other arrangements)
